I know this sounds terrible...
But it’s not. It’s not a competition, it’s a goal. I put it in these terms because we both have goals of better income both individually and collectively. Right now she is earning the lion’s share of our monthly income. She works really hard as a carpenter/construction worker, and we are neither of us getting any younger. I want to start getting enough tattoo business to at least match her weekly paycheck. Then we could get ahead enough to get her a new truck, so she can apply for (and get) a Union job. Once she does that, it will step up my goal yet again, which will be good. Then as she get’s raises, it will step up my goal again. Eventually this should allow her to retire and us to still have a good ongoing income and retirement!
